Fly away crow.
OK.. so I do wish for this crow to have it's tail feathers plucked, and it's crowing box ripped out of it's throat.. but really, I am not wishing it complete harm. Perhaps I will go save it from itself, in respect to yesterdays bug disaster, perhaps I might go two for two.

Don't bother to call me.
When the boy is home.
He is on the phone.. with the GF.
He doesn't know how to work call waiting.
Trust me, he has been WELL versed in the workings of this highly skilled gadget.
but instead listens to the incessant beeping from within the phone.
That is usually me.... calling twenty times over.
Just because.
It really is an annoying noise.
He now realizes that it's better to speak with a potentially annoying mother, rather than to listen to those very annoying beeps.

Life saving skills 101
There was this strange looking semi large bug that was trapped in the window. I ignored it for a bit hoping that it would magically leave. Ha... magic was rather biggish thinking. True to form, as all bugs do... it continued to bang the window to continue it's life in the great outdoors.
I found my slice of paper, and a glass and went to retrieve this hugely wierd bug, with a really long tail thingy. I trapped him... and just as I pulled my piece of paper off the window, it got stuck on the sill, and out flew the bug... right up into one of the potlights.
I didn't know he was actually looking for instant death. How stupid am I?

When the going gets hot....
The hot goes pressure washing!
I love my pressure washer.....and it really is mine... even though the husbandman used it to clean his jeep yesterday. I am not certain he had full clearance to use it... but I let him.. because I am sorta nice.
~~~~
I was at the sisters house this morning. I brought my camera with me. Not sure why...
Because when the mother and her two very little cubs stealthed past us... I wasn't able to get a picture.
Now that my friends.. is a tragedy in motion.
eggs!
Fried or boiled... either way... around these parts it is hot!
Yikes.
Being productive.... more laundry happening.
Along with grocery gathering, sorting out appointments.. and our very favourite....
paying bills!
I felt like a character in noahs ark today... well sort of...
Two by Two people were blocking my path at every spot I wished to pick from. I decided that I would turn the other direction... to reverse the Noahs Ark Curse, and have people walking away from me, rather than towards me, and stopping. It worked. Sometimes the universe does have altered paths.
I must go and drench my flowers now....AND Mr. Mark Madriga told me on this mornings news that we are not going to break a record... although I think maybe we should ... we just aren't.
I think I did break a record while driving today... as to how many seconds you can watch someone run down the road with his shirt off, and hope for the best that a car doesn't cut out in front of you while doing so. I might have won myself a gold medal on that one!
No mountains moved here
So, I'm back.
Laundry has been laundered.
I had no idea I had done that much laundry.
I don't remember doing it.
As always... it needed to be folded.
Which I did.
Yae me.
Deanna the robot strikes again!
I did go bear hunting last evening and saw two deer.
I am really cougar stalking.... which is why I am wondering why there are far fewer deer this year.
~~~~~~
Making sandwiches was easy today... just chopped a piece off the big sandwich. I love that. It was on sale... a dollar off. And I got airmiles with it.
Yae me again.
~~~~~
I checked for my fake job again this weekend... no go... I have emailed the manager yet again for my new fake job. She will rock boats and sink ships, I am sure of it.
~~~~~
Sometimes I am just sure of things. Like when I put a five dollar bill into a one cent machine and tell my mom that it will become fifty in one minute. Which it did. Then.... because I was still certain of things I hit the button to spin again. OH, that was nice... the next spin was worth $168.00, on seven lines time five on a one cent machine. Not much in the scale of the world, and how much people can really amass in their pockets... but kinda fun... just going on a hunch.
This only works when you feel it, and that feeling can't just happen, you have to know it in your soul. Seriously.
~~~~~
Like the dryer... as it buzzes... somehow I know there is a gift waiting for me as well... without even opening the door!
~~~~~
I asked the boy to make sure he comes home today. Now that's a real task. I spend more time on the phone with him bargaining extended time out. CHRIST almighty.... just settle down Mr. Black Lab. Yesterday a crazy person chased him in the forest. Luckily for him he has taken to running lately... since he always seems to be running late for the homestead and the SHIT he might catch because of it.. he has built up some endurance in keeping his distance from the freaks that inhabit the forgotten trails of our city. I think we need to trade in his skate shoes for running shoes... because it might be the only thing that will be able to save him this summer....
~~~~~
Must check on the growing Eaglets.... my next fascination in life, because they have a camera attached to them.. unlike our wildlife here... that just meander aimlessly damn it.
~~~~~
OH... and loving our extremely BLUE skies... OMG.. I am loving them!!!!

And so what ... a Sunday evening version
- Dinner... who needs dinner..? The big sandwich from Safe.way should take care of things.
- Laundry detail comes after bear hunting.
- Nothing like a psychotic "you better be running!!" phone call to the son as he arrives home late.
- That there are dishes in the sink.... they are not mine ... so I am ignoring them now.
- Someone has homework, which I am not interested in....
- I wish I had some momentum to finish my book.
- The dryer buzzer has gone off.... certainly I should behave in a Pavlovian way of some sort...
- I have yet again forgot to get the boy some band aids for his feet.
- I should appear like I care to accomplish my laundry goals for today.
- If I feel numb....because I do....

Finally...
So I have been having some trouble accepting the fact that my bear seeking days could quite possibly be over. Not because I have lost interest... but I simply thought that the bears had packed up and moved on. I hadn't seen one in maybe two weeks, it could be less, but with the ever so diligent failing memory it is hard to pinpoint the actual date and time of the last sighting.
Yesterday that changed. I saw one. In fact... I think it was fast bear ( you have to say it with a lilt, or in a whispery voice like I do, to get the full impact). It was only for a moment mind you.. I was traveling down the road with the camera in the on position as always... and there he was, crossing the road all swift and fast. I loved him.
And that was that. Five seconds of happiness.
I have been restored. OK.. semi-restored.
~~~~~~
I woke up this morning and was unable to breathe, not as in a blocked airway kind of not breathing way... but in a cotton filled sky sort of way. I think I remembered not taking any vitamin C yesterday... which is howcome now I believe that I am stuffy for not taking it, but then again... there were not free floating snowballs flitting about under the blue skies as much as there are today.
Off to the vitamin cupboard I go.
And so what..... part 2
- I haven't planted some left over plants... it will happen. I think.
- The washing machine didn't run today. It did yesterday, and the day before, and probably tomorrow.. it deserves a day of rest.. kind of.
- I tried to pawn off the boy's lunch with a twoonie.... it was hotdog and drink special today. No such luck, and I was required to build him the triple decker that he most enjoys... when he isn't forgettting about them in the bottom of his backpack.
- That they boy will not have a bank account left when he is done paying for his NEW retainer (the current, and yet out-dated because he didn't wear it one) is no good & a new phone card, since text messaging the GF is his latest source of fun.
- If the plans to tidy THE PIPS bedroom go undone... as they were only plans anyways...
- If I continue to hang out on almost lonely roads staring off into fields.... eventually wildlife will bang into my car, as it really is a part of the natural setting.
- If I forgot to buy apples, even thoughI have been past the produce store6 times inthe past two days.
- on that thought... I will move on!
Monday, May 25, 2009
And so what...
- If I should be doing the morning dash at completing my tasks before the group today.
- If I fed my boy extra strength ibuprofen and sent him walking to school after his tail bone drop on Friday evening.
- That a bunch of recycling is still on my laundry room counter, and it's recycle day today.
- That I am still watching the Eagles next over in Sidney... even when the cruelest happenings in nature almost took two of them out, before they even left the nest.
- that time is ticking and my hair is a fluffy mess.
- That I yell at the boy's GF to get her chores done over the phone.
- If I am still watching the eagles despite needing to leave....
- I think I hear the recycle truck coming.. now that the recycling has made it to the front door.
- I am clearing out recycling rather than focusing on a word problem for my group this afternoon.
- If I'm an idiot... I think I like myself this way... the excuses just come quicker and faster!
- If I dumped more dirt on my front lawn minus grass-seed... it will eventually find its way there...
The way it is ...
There is a systematic methodical approach that hovers over this home. It is NOT owned by me, but rather the husbandman. After this past weeks little tiny but potentially HUGE electrical fire that occured while driving on the roads of our fair city in the husbandman's beloved jeep... it has finally come to light the prioritizing of the homesteads improvements.
I had wished for the current 2nd bathroom to be prettied... for the PRINCESS that inhabits our home. Well, little does the PRINCESS know... but her project has been bumped. In reality... she will be lucky to note that the bathroom-PRINCESS-project was lucky to have made the list. Which it did... just not in the order as to my specifications... but rather the project master himself... the husbandman.
It's alright... I will remain my ever steadfast regular self... and gentley throw reminders that perhaps his home reno list isn't the be all - end all... certainly I will hypnotize him into believing that.
Meanwhile.... back at the ranch....
The Gramerica son is busily working on creating a song on his guitar. I am not even sure how he has managed to do it. He is busily thinking about the words that should go with it... which isn't a problem for him... as he doesn't take after his father in that regard.
The PRINCESS of the UNIVERSE is busy studying her wardrobe. She has been scrutinizing all of her items in an effort to pack the best of the best for her school camping trip to Timberline. She has rested easily that we have secured the details of her hair dilemma, and that has put her to some rest... now for us to pack her up, and carry her away....
The EAGLETS have still been monopolizing my time. Yesterday I almost called it quits, as there was far too much drama for this nature loving freak. I have come to think that Eagles are not as smart as we give them credit for... AT ALL. Maybe it was just me giving them credit..... but after watching them... they have been bumped down more than a couple of rungs on the ladder of life.
A pile high of
Laundry?
Papers?
Newspapers?
Toys?
Scrapbooking supplies?
Miscellaneous?
BOOKS!
I cleaned off our bookshelf the other day... after the TE.LUS TV fellow had visited and left, and now I have a stack of books that need to be taken care of. Some of them are not real books... ONE of them is a cookbook. (I don't think so!). What am I going to do with that? I certainly wont use it! I need to find a way to make them disappear....
As for a pile of laundry... the little pile that has accumlated since yesterday will have to sit for another day... the city has turned off our water for the day. They were supposed to do this yesterday... and it didn't happen... lucky me!
I'm off into wonderland... gotta find me a cougar.....
so uhm ha.
75 dollars later for a new adapter for the laptop.
I didn.t do anything... it was the children, or should I say child. The SHE child that is. SHE stepped on the cord.... and thankfully only ruined the adapter, although she claims it wasn't her, I have been having some problems figuring out who the exact SHE child it was, since it wasn't the live version that takes up spaced in this home.
The bright yellow sticky note still stands... if the person that is touching the computer doesnt have the name DEAN.NA, then that person shouldn't be touching it. It has made life a lot simpler.
I went cougar hunting this morning, and I fell short on determination. I better go back to bear watching, at least I will have some success....eventually. I saw a momma and a eeny teeny single cub.
That's it for me...
The other day... FRIDAY to be exact the husbandman was off, as well as me. Well, I am always OFF on Fridays... , in the free work sort of things. I wasn't off, as in "get to have fun, kick back and do nothing...." sort of free from work. Who is....?
It was a nice day for a walk... and I was feeling a little blue that I hadn't marched along my merry way for a walk under the fresh blue skies. It's a good thing that sometimes I exercise patience, but that only happens sometimes... combined with luck of course.
Since it was a nice day... the husbandman listed off his endeavours... and I suggested that I join him.. since he loves me so much, and equally loves spending time with me... once every five weeks. He somehow agreed, or perhaps that semi-nod was a sneeze... anyways.. he didn't object when I opened the door to the jeep and hopped in. I can kind of hop now.. since I am taking a wack load of tylenol for arthritis... I seem to be able to move again.. it's a lovely feeling really. We headed up and over the mountain to get his head of hair cut. Perhaps that should be semi head... but that would be insulting to the love of my life now wouldn't it? Well, I like him anyways... despite the hair thing.... except I can't figure out why he needs to drive to the stupidest of locations to get the hair cut. There isn't any adequate shopping AT ALL. And when it takes all of ten minutes to get one's haircut... the wife should really have some good shopping available to cover those vaulable minutes of boredom. Luckily I had decided that I needed a banana. Not that the banana off the counter from the house would have sufficed.... since I had just bought it the day before.. but you know.. these banana crises's do happen... so off I marched to the Safeway.
The barber men are used to seeing me now... I am not afraid of them... although occasionally I ask if they have time for a wash and set....ha ah aha ha hahha.
OK... we leave the vast parking lot, and begin making our way to the mall. Next we were moving onto eyeglasses.... the husbandman is in need of eyeglasses.. now certainly a good wife that doesn't wear glasses should attend for this event. I mean.. how can a blind man pick out glasses?
We were a stones throw from the mall, sailing down a long and winding hill... and damn it... the stereo in the Jeep YJ Beloved-of-his-Life... (next to his LATEST boyfriend)...quits working. It was rather convenient... because I remember not enjoying the song...before I had a chance to figure out how to turn it off.... it did for me.
Then I noticed his controls turned off, and then he noticed that the controls turned off, and then he noticed that the whole jeep turned off, and for added effect we both noticed that there was smoke pouring from the steering column.
Wow... this is going to be inconvenient.
Luckily for cell phones.. he calls his favourite tow truck guy... but he's busy. Well now... there seems to be a semi-distant memory of that nice walk that I wanted to go on.. and now... I seemed to have a partner. I couldn't have talked this guy into a walk if I had added a million dollars onto the end of it, or added anything else that these boys tend to think of.... but now..here we were... wandering along like the regular homeless folks through the city... crossing through parks, and taking short cuts everywhere. The only problem was I carrying a bag that looked way to new.. I even threw in a stop at a greenwaste & recycle container... except that I added to the container rather than retrieved articles.
And now... FOUR days later...the beloved YJ has been pushed into the garage.... (which I spent envisioning a family room with a jeep parked in it oddly enough)... with wires all spliced, replaced, rewired and wrapped.... AND two footstep shaped dents in the floor, where the husbandman has spent the last three days fiddling with coloured wires.
Not quite so...
I didn't quite finish the book yesterday as planned. I did however get the laptop back up and running, since the chicklets seemed to have destroyed the cord that supplies it with LIFE. I have now placed a little bright yellow sticky note on the front of the laptop...
"Please note... if your name is not DEANNA, then you should not be touching this computer"
This should put a stop to the apparent ambiguity as to who should and should not be using it.
So... that said... it makes it hard to enjoy surfing through the world with a cord stuck to your finger, so that the battery charges... AT ALL TIMES!
In that event... I promptly woke up last night at 02:50 am. hmm..... given the information that was handed to me yesterday, I promptly stalked my way to the livingroom window... because guess what...
I AM ON BEARWATCH.
The crazy neighbour two doors down... (as opposed to one door down, two doors over, or simply across the street....) informed me that he watched a bigboy saunter his way through the neighbourhood the night before last... so of course last night I took my turn.
While I huddled in the livingroom, I did finish reading my book.... so I got something accomplished... even if I didn't see the bear, which I am certain he had a festival of festivals around our neighbourhood last night... as today is garbage day...
OK... blue skies.... and a husband to harrass.....it's all good.
finishing...
I have to finish my book today.
It is very good... very very good....
Hopefully that will be ranked first on my to-do list.... after I come to my senses, which will be after the first sip of coffee, which hasn't happened yet.
I will have to buy some cream first, and then make the coffee... and not vice versa... as that never seems to work.
I must go and buy some fruit. I am OUT. I am going to go all exotic and wild today.. which means that I will purchase TWO types of apples. yes, settle down in the front row... the spectator in the second row needs someones head to splurp over.
Hoefully the laundry will have some success with finishing.
HOLY SHIT.. why is my computer thing whirling away... it's been going for quite a while. If it implodes while I am at my walking group....there's going to be fans lined up everywhere....
The Eagle thing is continuing... I am spending my computer waking moments staring at eaglets. Of course I missed the episode of where the mother flew off with an eaglet attached to her. I have to admit... I didn't think she did a tremendous job at detaching the eaglet.. which of course led to it's ... you know what.....I won't get all caught up in the hysterics and emotions that happened on "the chat" the day of the incident. As SAD as it was... this is nature. I learned this from an early age watching "wild kingdom" just before the beautiful Sunday dinner... and I had just seen a baby antelope be eaten... "kids.. dinner... it's roast beef tonight!!!!".... OK.. unka chunka... for some reason I am having a hard time swallowing... ANYWAYS.... watching these little eaglets flop around has been most interesting to me.
The TELUS TV man finished installing our wires and cables under the house in the "very scarey" crawlspace. I give it to the young guy that did it.... IN FACT... I watched him do his thing... and he reminded me very much of the very man that I share my life with. Yes people... I am a keen observer... and when the youngish guy very slowly and very neatly piled his pieces of equipment in a set location... and then took his coveralls off .. in the grass... I thought to myself... is this the husbandman reincarnated.... ( I better start doing laps!).... SO... this time I was ABLE to get TELUS TV because the youngish fellow was asked to do a job, and do it thoroughly... which is exactly what he did. I then quizzed him howcome the other fellow couldn't do it... "well... it was probably the 2nd worse job I have done in my job so far" he said to me... " I can see why the other guy RAN". On that note I gifted him with a remote that I had sitting around.. which I do not think I will use... and his eyes bugged out of his head when I showed it to him. He said he was just itching to get his hands on one.. and I told him ... "you just did.." He told me not to tempt him... on his way out the front door... I retrieved the "mini-computer" as he called it, and gave it to him. I am in the que for a new family room to be built, and then to purchase a new TV... and this could be a while... (Mind you.. now that ((boo-hoo)) the Canucks had themselves booted out of the playoffs), the home reno's might be stepped up a notch)... that said... the husbandman did say to me that he might just make this a jeep summer instead. S.I.G.H.
Well... must be off to the walking group... where there could only be two of us!
It is very good... very very good....
Hopefully that will be ranked first on my to-do list.... after I come to my senses, which will be after the first sip of coffee, which hasn't happened yet.
Scheduled outage
I like that.
It's really a simple way out.
Yes... I couldn't make it... as I was having a scheduled outage.
What more is there to say?
I am prone to many scheduled outages... at randomly selected times mind you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In other things that are slightly more important...
I would like to recognize those that are mindful of others today... "others" can be anything and everything.... so I am talking to you, and you, and you.....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My favourite eagles sites are keeping me busily steadfast and watching and loving it. Gee...odd for me....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I took myself out for breakfast today... and a walk, and a visit to the nursery, and somebear watching, and river seeking...all before 0900 this morning... had to make the most of the day... hope you were able to do the same....

$3.38
Remember the $1.15? Well... today I have made another three dollars and thirty eight cents.
I rock!
Yes... ahem... now onto other things that I have been up to:
Bear Watching: epic failures the past couple of days. I grow through this almost every year. The big boys are out for a while, and they go into complete hiding! I wonder if mama walks her cubs away from the threat of the big boys... and then makes her way back into semi-civilization after she sends her cubs into the big green wilderness.
So strange.
Sending a TWO year old to go off and fend for themself.....``good luck sweet-heart... stay away from humans carrying tubular round objects & garbage cans...., see you in the blueberry fields.. and remember.... your home for the past two years, is not your home any longer... so don`t bother coming back... because you will not be welcome... love you... see you in the blueberry fields....sorta kinda....``
I think that is the conversation that must take place... because that is the way it really does happen....
In other things that happen....
It was Coquitlam`s garbage clean up day this week... I got myself some really great things... before the actual garbage men came and cleared them away.
ONE painted chair ( the boy is thinking that I have more furniture in my garden than plants)
A PERFECTLY thrown away wooden frame that can act as a shelf for the outside of the home.
TWO well worn garden gates, which purpose I have yet to come up with.
ONE triangular planter box, which is already been put to use.
AND.... one greatly eye-spied hands-on Made in Canada sewing machine cabinet, with sewing machine, and drawers. I really really really wanted it.... but I already have one... and I don`t even know what to do with the one that I have already got...
It was great fun junk collecting.... it`s a good thing I own a Mazda5... because many great items can be packed into a Mazda5... with very little hassle....
This brings me great happiness...

Good morning.
Morning morning morning morning!
That is what time of day it is....
The Princess Doll PINKED up Fussykins is standing next to me....
WAITING for me to take her to school.
She did attempt to go out on her own... but then she wandered back again.
So now it is my job to see her to the front doors of the school.
That Fussy Doll... what will I do with her......
Less than what I am going to do with my BOY that just rolled out of bed 10 minutes ago.
Oh the morning..... I'll just let it roll....

Hilarious serious.
So...
I was reading another person's blog here the other day....
SHE inadvertently attached a link to her blog that has now given me access to view Eagles and their Eaglets.... so.. I might never be back!
Since I am ever so "link challenged"... it's called "zaplive.tv" .... this should take you places!
In other things funny....
We went on a Casino adventure the other night.... it was not planned, nor was it thought of when I left the homestead...in fact... when it was mentioned... I really didn't want to go... but guess what... why pass up the opportunity for a little casino fun... and when I am 103, and sitting somewhere looking out a window.. I will at least hopefully have the memory that even when I was too tired to make an effort, I still made an effort. There you go.
Anyways.. long story short... I managed to win $1400.00. It was nothing but incredulous dumb luck. I have seen others play HUGE amounts of credits on the slot machines, and get back what they put in.. I on the other hand was playing (my typical) penny machine, with 10 lines... so in an essance, it's considered 10 and 1. Not a huge amount to gain any returns on... but that was just it... it was a random jackpot.. and I was the recipient! The husbandman was for sure thinking that this will of course make my crazed self even more addicted to this "evil sport"... but nothing will change for me....however; that said.. I did raise the stakes the other night, and played some machines at twice, and three times my bet... so 20 and 30 cents... it didn't trigger much of anything. Meanwhile.. I did share my winnings with the Mom and Sister.. which then the Sister took to the fancy 5 cent machines, and then off to the dollar machines... DOLLAR machines. Yes, something that I would never do..... even though I thought I would if I won a bunch of money.. which I did...
So today... I gifted myself NEW runners (buy one, get the second pair HALF off).... which was nice, because I didn't really spend a lot of time fretting over price tags... and some new jeans (OK.. the joke here is... that I went out in my gardening clothes.. and the Mom and the Sister said to me that I should take the pants in....but they are comfortable!!!), and some other pants, and two new summer sweaters... (OK.. the next joke is... I have been fretting over going out and spending money on buying some new articles of clothing...and not doing so... JUST BECAUSE...). So.. this has been nice.... I did have to STEW about putting the cash towards things that were practical.. because I am just that... very practical... but I threw caution to the wind, and behaved like a crazed woman. AND.. in an extra gift... I arrived at Costco to purchase some outdoor lights that I have been wanting for the front of the homestead as well, plus a book, that I wanted... JUST BECAUSE.
Don't be scared oh diligent readers... this girl isn't addicted to endless adventures into the casino for grandious shopping sprees... however.. I am addicted to people watching.. and that alone will keep me going back....

Wed-nes-day
It's kind of a strange word really... why can't we just spell it like we see it... in the early morning hours when the light is still the dark, we open one eye from beneath the softness of our pillows and ask... "whensday?"
It's true!
But this only happens on Wednesdays anyways....
In other things that happens on "whensdays"...
That BOY of mine... he will forever run according to his own clock. I could be up in the middle of the night rattling that boy to wake... and we would end up with the same story... he leaves for school in his own time, and at his own pace. It wouldn't matter if a pot of gold was sitting in the driveway for him, and after the stroke of eight it was gone... because he would never see it...
Well, moving on...
The dandelions are not so dandy out front.. and the moss is feeling less mossy outback. I am not EARTHGIRL extraordinaire... I am the CHEMICAL QUEEN of GREEN DELIGHT! Yes people... the chemicals have landed.. and hard! It happened so fast, I didn't even know I had done it.. which in reality... I hadn't. As I was driving past my husbandmans boyfriends house I was busily handing out directions that we needed to deweed the lawns... the conditions were perfect for killing off perfectly natural lawn specimans that I am fooled to believe that they are not... and the husbandman's boyfriend was excitedly talking about our Friday frontlawn get togethers... In the mixup of conversation the husbandman's boyfriend mixed up a batch of what any CHEMICAL QUEEN would love... and quickly spread it over the lawn... great job I say.... except that I didn't want the husbandman's boyfriend to do it... the husbandman was perfectly capable!
So... before the readership has a mindmelt for being a very bad EARTHGIRL... this very morning I watched a crow eat the tiny little WHITE pellets that you add to dirt for hanging baskets. Now this bloody pot has sat since the fall... and today he decides to eat tiny white pellets... or whatever they were...
These are the things that happen... when we insist on asking the question... whensday?

No Honey Pots in the City...
In an effort to "get away from it all"... we went for a drive into the city last night. Nothing beats driving around in the city in a 19 year old jeep... it might be 20 now.. who knows.
More importantly.... it's just fun. I am not sure if the actual ride is fun... or it's the chicklets that ride around in the back doing their antics that make it fun... not sure. The Fuss brings Prance, which then The Boy brings to life with his voice, but uses it for Prance, the stuffed animal dog to replace our long gone dead dog Cicely. Not that we couldn't just speak in normal voices... but then again.. maybe we can't. Everybody is used to talking to Prance. She asks questions.. and we answer. The collective WE being the husbandman and myself. there are times when we use the open windows of the jeep as the ultimate insult... as in she is tossed out, and therefore will forever more live in silence. Prance generally quietens down after that... but only momentarily.
So... I didn't get back to my favourite loitering place yesterday, with the exception of the morning. I think my stash of honey pots will have to wait for another day....

Bright and shiny
I started off going outside to put some food in my hummingbird feeder....
I think I have done everything else... but mix up the fruity coloured concoction....
Which is going to happen... RIGHT NOW!

Addiction issues
New.Moon!
work work work work... not!
I believe that I am forgetting to do something.
It's BIG.
I just know it is...
It has to be something, because every Wednesday for the past I don't know how many Wednesdays I have had to do something... I call it Wednesday works! For some reason today I seem to be Wednesday workless. I had a calender bible consult.. and it came up empty.
Of course that doesn't leave me with an empty plate on my hands... I surely have a whole dessert plate load of random things to perform.
There is now the issue of returning the shoes bought for the PIP yesterday, as her only pair of flip-flops flapped. That girl is so absolutely rough on her shoes it is wicked. I have just bought her three pairs of heavy duty yet fashionably presentable foot soldiers for her... they will probably last until the end of the school year... which is about 8 weeks from now... we will be going shopping the day after... One good thing is the fact that I did convince her that her stylish and pretty light neon swooshed nikes fit her just fine. That took some doing.
I believe at this point I am merely here to avoid what is waiting for me.... yes.. a second cup of delicious coffee.... so I will savour it a moment longer... and then make my way outdoors to continue the springcleanup festival... which actually has been going on since the fall... which I never really stopped cleaning up. Like I said before.. if only I would have taken a moment to catch a picture of me raking the backyard on oneside, while the snow was piled high on the otherside... during the winter. Hey.. I have to make my tax dollars work for me.. which is filling my greenwaste container to the brim every 2nd week. I think I could fill two greenwaste containers everyweek... but this way I just poke away at the never ending work. One would think that I lived over near Le*sa's house where she has dogs carrying around deer legs... because they can. OK.. she has one dog carrying around one deer leg...... on a piece of property where deers live, and also die..... but not from dogs.. the dog only found the deer leg after the fact, but claimed it for his own. Of course he wishes to take the deer leg into the house... and that has become problematic. So, NO I do not live on mega-land... but I do have 28 trees that line the back yard with a constant barrage of needles... which end up on the lawn, and then kill the grass.. if I do not continue to rake them all. Cutting the lawn helps to pick up a needles, but if the wheel base is set to high it doesn't pick up the mass quantities that sit low into the grass... and in fact you wouldn't even know they were there.. but I know they are there... and it wrecks my lawn ( I think the poisons it actually....) but only if you insist on walking around with your head swaure to the ground.. like I tend to do.
Well,,... that cup of coffee is gone... that means so am I.
It's BIG.
I just know it is...

Trivial, yet not
I bought the Indigo Blue Mazda Five for it's colour. I needed colour..... BIG colour. I like the colour. Our Toyota had been white... so in an essance.. no colour. It was a long time with no colour.
Last night I could take it no more. I had to go to the car washplace and wash the car. My Indigo Blue Mazda Five was a varying display of I. Blue to a badly painted rainbow of squished plum. There were some troubling factors in doing the car wash thing. The City is fixing our road.. and has been for the past many number of weeks. Everyday there is sign girl out there.... smoking her cigarette, and doing bad traffic directing.. One day while driving down the road I had sign girl with her sign having an epilectic seizure, and her buddy the city worker waving at me to keep driving.... keep driving dumb woman in the dirty indigo blue mazda five... can you not read hand signals...?? I ignored their signals, as I put my car in reverse... before the digger almost dug up my windshield. Yes people... the frenzied hand signals told me to keep driving .... I am thinking that they were probably [] this close to getting points for a city truck hitting a grubby vehicle... city workers silly games... who knows.
The second tragedy of cleaning up the car is the fact that I can not race down to my favourite location to see the bears. Well, I can... but that would mean that I have to drive on unpaved road, with dust flying.
The third is the way that I drive to Costco... I take the backroute... those little copper buggers don't hang around a three way stop and give you traffic tickets for the magical rolling special stopping that people maybe might want to do ... we just drive fast, and hope that the mama and three baby dears aren't milling about on the roads....
It's supposed to be 21 degrees out today. That's 21 +21, and then you add 30 for the "other" way of figuring temperature. A perfect day to trick you into thinking that summer has arrived, when actually it is still spring. I absolutely need to throw some chemicals on my lawn... because you know.. it's fun and all.
Time to wake the chicklets... those silly chicklets ... always tricking me that they need to keep sleeping, and I need to keep telling them to wake up.
I am thinking that they were probably [] this close to getting points for a city truck hitting a grubby vehicle... city workers silly games... who knows.

Psychotic event casefile # 13, 754
Yes... it is me I am talking about.
SHOCK of shocks!
I was working quickly with the fingertips this morning trying to get AC/DC tickets... when TICKETMASTER would not accept my password...
The computer had found very good seats.... lucky us... except that you have 2 MINUTES to flip through the screens and throw in the credit card information to get them... GONZO!
I tried again... and this time I was a tad bit psychotic... I had already let TWO tickets pass me by... I wasn't going to let a 2nd set go..
I was trying to read through screens, and click on the right the boxes to get these things.. and the husbandman walks away... DONT WALK AWAY YOU FOOL!!!! I told him he had to be my eyes if I made speelliingg mistakes.... because the computer isn't going to tell you that until you have almost timed out....
In the end I got the tickets.... not quite where the first ones were... but WHO CARES... the Gramsterson and the Husbandman get to go see AC/DC, with actual tickets this time.
My heart ran a marathon this morning... and I didn't even enter for the SunRun or the Boston Marathon.... hmmmmm.
~~~~~
Well, I have got some bad baking going on here... so should get back to it.... one little phone call and I get distracted...
My friend Susan came over the other day... and I didn't have anything exciting to munch on... so either she was a couple days early, or a couple days late... today would be the day to arrive on the doorstep!
~~~~~~~
I will be heading down to the bears in a while... because what is a good day without an ample quantity of time spent staring into wide open empty fields... BECAUSE... you never know when they will arrive... just like they did the other day... I was just visiting the field... with nothing insite.. when along goes my bro-in-law 15 minutes later... and whala~~~~! Mama and her two cubs back for his viewing pleasure....
~~~~~~
Enough... my spatula is calling.
non busy busy-ness...
It wasn't raining when I woke up this morning. That was nice... today was adventures in picture taking, but not really...
I drove around in circles this morning starting at 06:55. It was sunny, but a very large cloud loomed overhead, but I took my chances.
I was sporting an illegal pony tail... so I couldn't be out in real public, for fear not to scare someone.
I returned home at 0815, and looked about the kitchen, and decided that a cup of coffee was next on my list...
At 0850 my friend called, and like a shot, with a fresh coat of lipstick and two coffee containers later... I was off again. I think I brushed my teeth again, just in case the memory had failed me, and I hadn't brushed my teeth...but I was pretty positive I had.
I dragged along my camera gear, which prooved to be exciting for me. There was a guy chopping some limbs off a tree... that isn't that exciting... except when that tree chopper is standing next to an eagles nest! That was very exciting... we made our way to the new Pitt River bridge, where more little photos were placed on the memory card.
I dropped my friend off back home, and returned to our homestead... just in time to do something with laundry, and then pack up and left again and headed over to Port Moody to Rocky Point... surely there had to be some pictures for me there!
We were just about to return to the homestead where then we decided to head down to Minnekhada Lodge, as they were having their open house, being that it was a stat holiday and such. We talked to Vern and his wife, then made our way home.
It was then that I decided that I needed to get serious about this laundry basket issue.... of course not to be distracted by the laptop... and the world of excitement that I could let unfold, at my fingertips.... eventually I made it to face.book... and madly typed away with a far away acquaintance.... I have decided that my love affair with paper and pens must truly not only be a singular affliction... as I learned today that my friend CHAS loved all sorts of paper scraps & shoebox types of things... now that we have grown up slightly ( me more than her in earth years), we have had to tone down our level of love for the X tree items... except that now I have to hand over all my most beloved items to my ONE girl... where she is going to have her hands filled handing over her papery/shoeboxed items to all three of her girls!
It was while I was busily chatting away that a police helicopter found it's way flying over our rooftops. This city (Vancouver & IT'S outer limits has unfortunately seen it's far too fair share of bad things come it's way...) so when they start making their way into the air, it's a far too close to home ominous sign that something has yet again gone bad. Fortunately, but unfortunately it was the police acting as a search and rescue as a man had left for a walk this morning along the dyke, and he hadn't been found by the early afternoon. I happily put my camera into action for this high drama....
My camera has one more round of photo ops before the night is done... and that is take pictures of the dozen roses that are sitting on the kitchen table. That good husbandman brought home the special flowers to commemorate the day that he should have gone camping with his bestman, rather than to stand at the alter with him.... it was a life changing event....! We collected the children, and drove to our favourite sushi place. And that was that...
In bad form
So, I am an evil mother for LIEING to my children....
Social Services STEP right in....
Oh... sorry... did you once BELIEVE in the Easter Bunny as well....?
Do I have to pay for your therapy now too?
~~~~~
I was at work yesterday.... where I was in holiday mode... which just means that I choose to remain silent over issues that get discussed over the course of the day.
Not sure why this makes a big difference, but it does.
There was a woman who was a JC and the boys fellow fan club member that was working.... where she proclaimed that the easter bunny & the evil man in the red suit was just plain and simple lieing.
Fair enough.
Shall I pack up the chocolate eggs & Lindt bunny when the chicklets are forcibly removed from this wretched home...?
Perhaps I will also confess that I fed the children Wendy's last night as well......because really... is that a form of lieing... teaching your children that a chicken wrap and fries is adequeate nutrition...
What day and what time did I turn to be so evil and disturbed...?
I guess my lowley standards of teaching my children to treat others as you would wish to be treated; and the fact that even though the letter K comes in almost the middle of the alphabet, it is first and foremost the most important letter as to me it represents "kindness.".. which in my BLACKbook of motherhood is the ultimate in teaching my chicklets the importance of treating all things with.
But ... I am a liar non the less....
Oh... and Happy Easter.... hopefully all anew will bring blessings to you...
Unless of course you serve chocolate for breakfast...

Happy GOOD Friday
I will pass along to you.
This morning has brought nothing but contemplation and procrastination.
That's OK, because yesterday at this time I was just leaving the hospital in Vancouver.
It's nice to sit back and reflect!
I found it weird to be a commuter though. I skytrained it into Vancouver, just so I didn't have to find a place to park the Mazda5. First I drove into New West and parked the car their, then hopped on board the people mover. I really give it to people that do this on a daily basis. It seemed a surreal existance that a body of individuals made up masses, and dispersed in all directions. We are a human anthill... with the exception that we don't kill people and bring them home for dinner.... OK... some people kill people, and leave them for other peoples dinners of late... but in general not the average populace.
~~~~~~~
This past number of days has been oddly productive, yet unproductive. I have to admit that I became ultimately human on Tuesday when I did not attend my walking group, but in fact, contemplated going until the given time, and then when I decided that my head was pounding a little too hard, and the nose wouldn't quit running long enough to stuff another kleenex up it... I should just call off the whole "daily routine", and start again later, ... when I could manage to walk around my house not wearing my sunglasses, with out lights on. Guilt from the absense of your daily routine begs you to reconsider.... and I did not... until I had to go and fetch my beautiful PIP from her school. That is when I forced the routine of grocery shopping onto her. She's only happy once she has been fed and watered... which I quickly took care of... otherwise... she is kind of lioness-ish if she doesn't keep to her feeding and watering schedule! The sister managed to manuever myself and little lady PIPster off to "my much disliked but generally funny adventures to Walmart".... which was very quiet for a change. Perhaps it's a way of breaking in the PIP to thinking that this is somewhat of a normal place.... well, tonight was trickery of trickery... as it was just that... NORMAL... which is a complete 180 to our regular walmart adventures.
~~~~~~~~~
Wednesday started out with promise and projects.
Nothing like making TWO attempts to get a criminal record check done only because I need to drive the PIP and three of her friends across town five minutes away to the arts village. ... because you know.. my time is worth nothing... and the gas that I put in my vehicle doesn't cost me anything...
AND.. because I wanted to qualify that thought I drove to Pitt Meadows to the SAFEWAY their because at the bottom of my grocery bill it said that I had amassed $97.45 dollars in gas credits. I went to test the theory.... only to discover that I got 7 cents of a litre, and continued to waste my time driving around the country side.
I stopped in at Costco because their garden store is open.... I bought a pewter cat planter for the front door.... because the noseless plastic cat "sculpter" needs a friend. OH.. alas.... I arrived at the book section.... and because I need to make up rules in my life .... BECAUSE people OK.. just get that I NEED little rules in my life... GAWD.... it just so happened to be my father's birthday... and because it is his birthday I had made the rule... (before he had died, or after he had died... not really sure actually...)... that I would buy a book in memory of him... because that is what I bought him for all his birthdays... because what do you buy a man that two loves in life are(were) to drink & read.... (not including my mother... because he really liked her first... although the drinking part probably proclaimed itself as being first and foremost....)... ANYWAYS... there I was at Costco... desperate to find a book... "oh for christ sake..., (there's that religious in me coming out again...)... there has to be a book that I can buy.... surely ... something... something... something that doesn't kill a woman, or put woman in a position of being/feeling powerless... something that doesn't have much to do with death or sadness, or dogs dieing.. or babies dieing, or young mothers dieing... or about the roots of where is.lam is from, or the sadness of others womans tales from being oppressed...... GAWDDDDDD..... ( oh my ,highly religious here....or hysterical ... you choose...)... there has to be something. NOPE. I did consider the newish Ken Follet book.... i might still buy it... as I heard it was even better than Pillars.... and I really liked that.
I walked away with my cat tin full of flowers, a cruise through the redundant scrapbooking aisle and a package 170 piece tissue paper ... and even at that I am not sure that I like the colours.... (I thinks it's still a good deal Debbie!)...
BUT... in an effort to not be defeated... I made my way to home depot.. and bought two white heathers... and came home and quickly shuffled about my front yard garden patch. I think it now looks quite cute... I just need to water it, and watch everything grow. Of course I have to be quick on the watering detail... as it rains here... but it doesn't rain under the eaves.... and everything is quite dry... BELIEVE that!
I surveyed the back yard for any signs of life from my bamboo trees... I think they have met their demise.... so now I need to come up with a plan to FILL a large huge portion of my backyard with something. WEll... garden portion that is... not like a whole back yard.
The hamsterson made his way to piano via me... where he learned a new page of his bohemian rhapsody... so now that he has it memorized... he will play it.... but up until that point... there is no way in the world that he would have played it... AND he wouldn't even try... I am used to this... no SHOCK here.. although ... the day he takes to reading and attempting music on his very lonesome... (rather than hearing & watching)... I will go into heart failure... so I hope he knows the number to nine one one at that point.....
~~~~~~~
Thursday was adventuresome... a nice neurologist, a visit to St Pauls... which could have easily have been r.c.h. (exactly where I parked my car), then later,... 2 litres of fluid later & a visit to an ultrasound tech rounds out a good day. Not including a visit to the pub with our chicken wing friends... which even though I really really wanted something else... I still enjoyed the chicken wings. I don't even know if I knew what I wanted anyways.... it's a new day here now... and I still want something... but so far,.. it's been an apple. What the HELL!! ( OH... that's bad religion on such a GOOD day....)
~~~~~~
And now today... the very GOOD Friday of all.... I woke up early.. and listened for rain.. RAIN was the indicator to the adventures that were to begin taking place.... like BEGIN has any meaning in my vocabulary today...
I guess I should have prefaced the BEGIN with... the day will start AFTER beginning it with a blog... which is where I start it now....
PS remind me to write about my hockey game experience....because I will truly forget... really...

Blue skies & green grass
It is sooooo beautiful outside today that I am going to give my lawn a treat.
The grass will get some extra supergreenjuice...
And the moss... well....
It is about to be KILLED!
How's that for the niceness in me.....

Moving on....
I bought the Pip a lemon yellow jacket. EVERYBODY wears jackets. I asked her to keep it for TODAY, so that when she said her speech about marshmallows... she would look all lemony... no really... actually so she would just look cute.. with that wild hair of hers...
Yesterday was picture day.. so she wore her new lemon yellow jacket to picture day..
... and therefore could not wear it today... it had splatters of something all over it. That girl... trust her, and her ability to stay clean. She had asked for the pink and sparkly item to be purchased for todays (non) event... but I came up short.
I did however make it back to the mall and buy her a new periwinkle blue jacket, and a cute patterned shirt to wear underneath it. Now she will be even more adorabley cute when she tries to sell her marshmallow story.
~~~~~~~~
And yet... much to everybodys impatience... it did really snow around here yesterday. Now that was quite funny.. considering that I just had my snow tires taken off last week...
Go my periwinkle PIP go... you get out there and sell that marshmallow story.. people are going to love you girl!!!
... and therefore could not wear it today... it had splatters of something all over it. That girl... trust her, and her ability to stay clean. She had asked for the pink and sparkly item to be purchased for todays (non) event... but I came up short.
I did however make it back to the mall and buy her a new periwinkle blue jacket, and a cute patterned shirt to wear underneath it. Now she will be even more adorabley cute when she tries to sell her marshmallow story.
And yet... much to everybodys impatience... it did really snow around here yesterday. Now that was quite funny.. considering that I just had my snow tires taken off last week...
