I am crossing my fingers for you - I have two old dogs, 1 20 lbs (13 years old) and 1 100 lbs (10 or more years) and they are both showing their age. I'm really dreading "the day". The little one we can nurture along with walking, carrying, the stairs, etc. etc, but when the big dog seriously starts declining.....
Especially now that we have all the kids and they have grown up with these dogs their entire lives.
