have your bears not gone to bed for the winter yet? I posted a bear in a tree Sept 24, I took the pic after sunset so not a good pic. Susan was ill this week so we have delayed coming down to the coast
Well... I am wondering if the very short cold snap we had didn't do it for these guys. The conservation officers put them to bed for the day, so hopefully when they wake up they will trot off to bed like good bears should. I did see the mother bear on the news and she was "chugging" someone's birdfeeder. I kid you not! Hopefully they were deposited in a safe place ( as Minnekhada is a 5 minute drive up the road ), and will find a good resting spot. The weather, although it has been uncooperative, hasn't been exactly cold enough to set these guys into a slumber. They did seem nice and big and round... gee I wonder why!!
