bobcat .... ocd !!!
So the other morning, .. when this whole bobcat adventure began... I thought that he had all but disappeared. And then in the darkness of the back "BERMUDA" triangle I noticed something else moving.
In the above photo you can just see the bobcat emerging from behind the little house, and the cat had noticed something. At this point the bobcat was just merrily making his way out.
That is when this occured, and the two of them came face to face. They stayed like this for the longest time... I mean the longest time. It was absolutely fascinating. Check at the cats eyes. I had changed the setting on my camera, and these two images came up black in my picasa picture viewer... but then I lightened them.. so I could see what went on ... in those first initial moments when domestics meets the "not so" domestic... the housecat totally looks like garfield . Forgive the grainy view... BUT.. I was going to delete them... until I lightened them. See... even though my curiousity was peaked... I don't think it would have been to my demise... and happily for this cat, the same with it!
The problem now is... everytime I look outside... I am now looking for a bobcat. Mysteriously all the squirrels have up and disappeared mind you.

And then he paused...
freaking fruitbats...
I didn't know whether to turn and run, stay and watch, take pictures... I didn't want to move, because I didn't want to startle the bobcat into striking out at the cat, and yet I didn't want to manifest into something if I could be the cause to stop it. So the visitor decided to stretch, and start to move away...
Through the window
It all started like this
Jimmy was patiently waiting for me to finish watching my "Say Yes to the Dress" ... when he pauses...
"Mumda.. what's sitting on the fence..?"
Me.. (without looking) "is it a squirrel...?"
Uhmmm... no, it's bigger than a squirrel, bigger than a cat, but looks like a cat.
OOH LA LA .. well what do we have here!

Todays news bulletin:
It only took one wake up attempt to get the boy out of bed.
I can be my own mastercard commercial... cause that was priceless!
In other things more important to everyday life:
Right... I have nothing for you people....
BUT in an effort to come up with something that will post a smile on the faces of millions...
I was very much determined to NOT talk to any of the educators this week... I was on a roll, it had been a whole new month, and I was free and clear from their emails & phone calls, since last months festival of insanity... until yesterday... when the boy texted me... and told me his science teacher was crazy. OK.. so that means that things are not going all too stellar.... which means today will be followed up with people HUNTING me down. Some days its a good day paying for call display.
In other things that will not have any impact on any ones lives....
I am continued on my hunt for my next camera. Life is passing me buy ever so quickly, and it should be done WITH photos able to catch every single blur.

time ticks
when you are not ticking with time.
You know that this is the TENTH year of the war in Afghanistan.

What timing!!!
Berrypickers here..
And berry pickers there.
So ya... eventually one of the fellows stood up, and lifted a bucket upside down, and gently tapped on it. It caught the mothers attention, and she in turn spoke to her cubs, and said it was time to go. She gently walked away. I watched it all happen people. I think my next camera should just have a filming requirements in it. I just have to figure out which NIKON that is!
MUSAK
I need some more songs to keep me trunging along my crescent of life.
It has to be fast musak. EXCEPT for Me and Bobby McGee, that is the exception on my "ipid".
I hear songs in passing, but then never remember them, or know the names, so it makes for some difficulty in acquiring them at a later date!
In things more exciting:
The husbandmans JEEP is elevated, rotated, mutated &excavated. It has now been removed from the front of the driveway, and has been yet again driven somewhere for the final procedure to take place. Of course this brings no excitement to me... other than now I do not have to listen to all the adjustments that have been done... so yes.. it's exciting .. no?
In more things from the starship:
The husbandman and I were talking about moving. YES we were... actually speaking. COMMA. About moving. This isn't today or tomorrow kind of business, but further down the road.... CAUSE... I (and even he) wish to see more than FURTHER down the road!
Well, back to the ONLY matter at hand... drinking coffee. Ha .. I wish.

Chaos
That is what life has become.
Trying to figure things out.
Trying to make things work.
Trying to find enough time in the day to do all things that we need to do.
Trying to NOT get caught up on the treadmill of life that makes one go crazy.
Too late!
Trying to stay sane doing all the things that I do.
Trying to continuously send positive thoughts to those that need it.
Trying to stay calm when situations present that create periods of insanity.
Trying to continue finding the time to walk in my circles.
Trying to not look completely crazy walking in my circles.
Trying to spot another bear, before they put themselves to bed!
(Mind you.. I saw momma and three cubs the other night!)
Trying to figure out how to go on a holiday... STILL.
Trying to manage the day where every moment isn't spent looking at the clock.
Trying simply to enjoy the chaos.

Where the wild things are...
Right here.. in command central.
Jimmy has left the building... all on his lonesome, with a certain bounce in his step.
There is a digger out in the back, doing digging things in the neighbours back/side yard.
Fussilina has called me hysterically looking for her polkadot pencil case cause it isn't in her locker, and she put it in her locker yesterday afternoon, and the phone kind of went dead. I guess she found the polkadot pencil case. I never got a call back.
We are nearing the end of the month, and this weekend the husbandman is going to give the furnace the once over. Because he is wild like that.
Of course I will be wildly happy to have heat.
I would also like to have a sip of coffee, cause that makes me wild-like.
We never got to go and see the Adams River run... because I did not get the weekend off. I believe I was wild in my thinking that I could actually get some vacation time. Hmm... I guess I better try again.
I have written yet again another story/letter to one of the teachers at JimmyDean's school. This boy and his details... they make me wild.
Todays list of things to be done is at an all time HIGH, and in the effort to not become wild over my workload, I will probably spend time just staring at bears eating barren blueberry bushes.
Now that's wild.

HOLY crampoly.
Life has it's twists and turns, bumps and sinkholes.
Not entirely certain how the day goes from one thing to the next, but that is what it is.
I CAN'T believe that I have not visited my very own blog for almost a week.
~~~~
In other things that are going on around this little city:
TOO MUCH.
And it's all in the news.
AND.
Currently there is a bear out wandering our streets.
Hopefully he will stay hidden, otherwise there will be chaos and mayhem in the daylight.
I might just go take a run to see the other one's down the street.
And if todays..
Hamburger doesn't work, let's try again tomorrow.
I was wishing to write a book... "parenting - ONE hamburger at a time".
That's the way I see it.... with the boy at least.
In an effort to keep all systems full steam ahead, it's best to feed him what he likes. Hamburgers, from Wendy's. Of course he wants a baconator, and I say .. oh no.. we need some colour in that burger my friend... he hisses that he wishes for only bacon, burger, cheese and a bun, but I saw the couple of colours that will go down the hatch with the rest will make his body a bit happier.
A lot of things can be sorted out within the time it takes to drive through a drive thru.
First the motherly/driver person can chat all about.. who knows what.
The starving and resistant passenger can take it all in, while their bloodsugar crashes, and just before the blackout point... the system receives it's chemical inducing formula to start the brain back into synapsing once again, and therefore some logical thought/ organized thoughts.
I's a very simple strategy, that seems to work, with the boy. AND this isn't a case of a tragedy amongst 15 3/4 year olds porprotion has erupted, but rather an excuse to chat with a level head (once it has been fed).
AND there you have it... another successful parenting tip!
NOW... if this were the girl... Julia Child where are you now...?
Elinor Lipman
My Latest Grievance by Elinor Lipman.
I quite liked this eccentric styled book. The characters seemed believable, and so did the story
