Wow Deanna, where are you going to find these big guys? I can only assume that you are in a very safe place taking your photos!

I am a 300 mm lens away from the, which is a 4 minute drive from my home. Minnekhada Lodge is the place, and on one half the street it is GVRD land, and on the other there is acres (hectares) of blueberries, with a mountain in behind.... so it's a beautiful life down their at Minnekhada... but the trick is keeping the bears in the wilderness... as there are many ravines, and green space they do end up wandering the subdivisions.. sometimes to their misfortune.

They are very misunderstood animals in my opinion & we do not have enough resources and/or manpower to educate those that are TOO STUPID to live with them... (which is why so many end up getting killed...) (Not including that highly odd incident that happened on the island last year with the bear chasing the person with the food source... which says it all right there....)

I talked to the guy that was on the bike... just to the right in the picture, as he road past, this big guy was standing in the ditch.

They walk across the street to the blueberry fields.

I guess I am in a safe place.. I have been doing this for about 6 years.. all these guys want are the blueberries...
