Hay! itsa girl black cat!

Posted by Picasa

So what do you think rocketman?

The husbandman has stolen the rocket stick.

He thinks it's his.

I would like to think it is mine.

The Pip wishes for it to be hers.

Keyboardson only knows of it's existance, but hasn't quite grasped the thing....

In other rocket launching adventures... the first coat of paint went on the little bathroom. Well, the bathroom may be little, but it has big colour. Big bicycle yellow colour. Ouch, kind of. I might change my name to Little Suzy, because when the door opens and you are smacked in the face with the brilliance of the bicycle.. I know it's talking to me... WAKE UP!

In adventures so not rocketshipish: the elusive bears. How come the only one with the matching blueberry coloured car doesn't see the bears...? I'm going to have to get better at this... how am I going to get an even bigger lense with a larger camera... if I can't take a picture of a bear?

I had fleeting grandious thoughts of driving to Hyder Alaska... and the most interesting thing of it all... is that I have actually been there before... many moons ago... but I can say that I have at least been there.

Instead... I will take a picture of a black cat... if  I can find one.... or does that take rocketman science too?

Awwwee lookout itsa....

CHAINSAW.

Apparently it is summertime here.

Or so I am thinking that is the case since if I am following the calendar carefully... I believe I am in July at the moment. Now here on the west coast one would believe that it would be summer. Of course given the temperatures around these parts you would have believed we made it into the soutern hemisphere, minus the ocean views, and cruiseships passing in front of us.

But yesterday....

What the HELL was that....?

Winds ... whipping through the city at speeds which bring about falling trees and flying branches.

Which brings me to flying branches... something that the husbandman really loves! Without a moment to spare out comes that NEW chainsaw of his... and the next thing you know all tree limbs that narrowly escaped him doing window work (on top of priming & painting work) were swiftly chainsawed into submission.

You know.. I don't even know where he hides this supertool of his... all I know is that it makes a fairly swift appearance in the face of fallen limbs.

Maybe today it might resume being summer.... but of course there will be no holding of one's breathe to find out.

This is the complaint department

What's your trouble?

Hair standing on end?
Lacks colour?
Runners too tight...
Windshield has streaks....?
Not enough bear pictures...?

What is the flying fruitbats of a problem....?

HOLD PLEASE

And would you believe me...

If I said I got to see two bears tonight.

Yae me...

I love the bears you know.

I might have mentioned that before, once or twice.... over the course the years.

In other things that I like:

JimmyDean continues to marvel and amaze ... me.

HOW did this boy find himself truly very funny....?
AND the PIP.... she is kinda the queen of willywonka lands.... cause ya know... she is Pippish and all.

~~~~
In things that are boring....
I asked to have this weekend off..
Surprise surprise... "oh.. so sorry... no unit clerks out there to replace you..."
Top that off with a sick call.... and my need to do the right thing, and finish stuff. I am just stupid that way. OH.. and other surprises... I didn't find a new job this weekend either. That is my true goal in going to work each weekend... in an effort to find a new job. WELL.. holy crap am I ever bad at it... because I am going back again next weekend.
HEY! So.. how am I going to get rich when I FORGET to buy the lotto max ticket?  I will try again this week.... because I am SO rich in giving away five dollar bills, that's why. AND trust me.. won't YOU people want to KNOW me when I have 43 million dollars in my hands!
JUST as an FYI... you can TRUST me when I say that if I were to win... AND you new me... somehow you would benefit...
MIND YOU... I would give a huge huge huge chunk away... to charity... and ONE in particular...
In other things more down to earth:
The flowers that I have planted are continuing to barely survive. Things are not looking so HOT this year. Of course this isn't my fault... buy of my most favourite weatherman Mark Madryga... it's his fault, it has to be. "love you Mark!"
The weed killing adventure is still not doing well. Damn weed killing stuff not doing it's job.
Met a fellow last evening that had a German Shepherd. He just put the dog down 2 months ago. I spotted him from our front window... and he was visiting the people next door. I was intersted because of his odd hair. AND then... he had one of these jobs that doesn't take a lot of brain power... and you know.. sometimes people just find themselves in jobs only because of circumstance... and it is most fascinating to talk with them.. and find out their other passions in life... most interesting I say... which started off first of all with the hair do.....
That said.... we will not speak of my hair... of which the colour is draining rather quickly.... must make ammends... or something of that nature.
signing out...
wow! it's wednesday
Is that where the wow factor comes from... because of the matching letters?
I am not sure.
I guess all depending on the mood it could be wicked wednesday.... but no, not today.
I am currently going to sip on a fresh little cup of coffee... can coffee really not be fresh..? YES!!! I have come to know a certain mother and sister that just reheat coffee from the day before. Peculiar, and let's add a VERY to that.
In other things HIGHLY peculiar...
My husbands boyfriend asked me if I wanted to go running with him the other night. NOW... here is a way to figure out very quickly if you are someones ball and chain! ha ah aha ha... even when you are not attached. It was good for me. AND AND AND... I was probably more than overjoyed that I could at least do it... even if we walked a bit. What makes this HIGHLY peculiar is that this very time last year was pretty disasterous in the body department. Bizarre as that might sound, it is very true.
Life is ever so mysterious.
It's sunny out... and yet cool... I think I am going to make a run for the BACK yard... as in the BERMUDA TRIANGLE backyard... and get some deweeding happening... while it is still semi morning, and not too hot, or more noteworthy.. raining. The biggest issue is staying out of the sun... on top of these antibiotics needing to be on an empty stomach, and without dairy, and sitting upright.. it also makes you sun sensitive.
Alright... off to find some mystery in the backyard....
Beauty on!
So today... this was given to me... how beautiful is that!
AND... because I am a mother on crack... I gave my boy this.
If we had our holiday savings fund... I think this might be it.
Posted by Picasa
Goodish morningish.
What?
It is raining!
How do I chemicalize the lawn with rain?
This can't be so.
IN other things that can't be so:
  • The girl has taken charge of the morning television... I am not listening to any global news.
  • NOR.. am I listening to any say yes to the dress.
  • I think I might have misplaced my glasses... have you seen them..?
  • I think the time has come that I should get the wedding rings sized... otherwise I might not have any wedding rings left soon.
  • I am cold, after all ... it is summer and all.
So cool you'll drool
My friend sent me this...
Kahlil Gibran wrote about children " ... They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, for they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls..."
Very cool I am thinking.
So are the FOUR bears I just saw.
Fix me!
That's what my lawn is yelling at me.
Or maybe what it's really saying is 'don't kill me!'.
I think the weeds are saying the that... the lawn is just sitting there, like it always does.. all smug and green and full of life, with a complete new generation of weeds taking over.
In other things that are being fixed:
The little bathroom is slowly taking shape. The husbandman has crawled into the great depths below and plumbed and eletricalled the new space, as well as crawled up into the attic space. Both of which are fairly nasty like places to be. NONE of which I will ever put myself into. It has been a fairly stepp amount of work compared to the actual space of the place.
I downed the dosage on the antibiotics as of yesterday. I was taking them as prescribed, but you know what... I can only do so much dizziness for so long. I am already a fairly dizzy person to start with, and this added to the mix was just a bit much.
I realized that the day before I was trying to look at my cell phone .. I needed my glasses to read the screen. The last statement is true. I didn't need them the day before that.. that I noticed. Best get a new phone.... clearly it has stopped working!
~~~

In things non fixable at the moment:

Both the chicklets are out of school. I have made a grave error in NOT enrolling the little PIPSTER in some form of summer activities... as this girl wishes to be busy at all times.... now I will have to hunt for her to do things... I probably should have thought about this last month... oh right.. I did.. I just didn't act on it.

I don't seem to have an RV that is associated with us going away. Perhaps I should re-think my going away plans and pack up and leave to somewhere...

Will have to put on my adventure thinking cap for this... I KNOW!!! I will call my SIL... she is extremely brilliant....

Whew... well that is fixed now isn't it...?

dizzy or just busy..

What's my excuse?

I am very much hoping that someone doesn't come and bang on the front door. In my current state of hair affairs it wouldn't be a pretty sight. Well, it would be a coture state of affairs with a lovely screaming line of asymmetry happening mind you.

I must add that Mr. JimmyDean is included in the sad state of affairs in the looks department.... we are both just disheveled... while the husbandman and the PrincessPip is off at their respective places doing working like things... I on the other hand must READ my book.. and JimmyDean, must play his game.

Although still goal oriented.. I will come back to the front door business rather quickly... as I have life things to attend to, including laundry... I can't walk around my homeland looking like a well put alien for long.... it just isn't natural!~

Yesterday I felt small. SMALL in a strange way. SMALL in a way where the Mr. JimmyDean superson was hugely tall, moreso than I remember from the day before. Odd.

I saw a woman yesterday who will be FOREVER ingrained in my mind that her name SHOULD be Kathy, but it isn't ... her name is PAM.  AND I know it's PAM.. I just want to call her Kathy.

I have been EATING up a storm.. of ANTIBIOTICS that is... hopefully the dizziness that comes with taking them will go away... of course perhaps once the busy-ness of lifelike things give a little that might change things as well.....

I must go quickly now.. the sun is coming out... and for us SouthWesterly BC'ers... it's a strange sight....

See, I promised I would be back... just like the sun!

ONly a week

Later...

And I am still claiming that I will return.

I am not a liar.

I will return.

After I finish reading my bookclub book. Which I haven't started yet, and the bookclub is on Wednesday.

Tonights the night... that I will read. With my glasses. And maybe a light.

That will get the job done.

Over and out...

How can you tell when...

You've been married a long time...?

In the past month I know for a fact that we have been married a long time:

I have a bought a new iron, just replaced a mix master with a hand mixer, require a new blender, just bought a new handichopper, replaced the ironing board, need to replace the nonstick frying pan, the towels that were once guest use only, have gone to rags, then dog use, and now that she is 4 1/2 months dead... the surplus of towels should probably go.

That's how long.... shower gifts from long long long ago!

Guess which one...

sat long enough to pose for the camera....
JimmyDeans brush with the Vice & the Principal.... everybody is smiling...
AND... it looks like somehow everyone is matching.

Except for POLE cat.... at least POLE cat sat long enough for me to snap a photo.

that Jimmydean...

Oh what a character he is....

He managed to get himself an award for "subject excellence".

That JimmyDean....

It was nice to see him walk across a stage, see him shakes the prinicipals hand, and take some credit for being as the title says... "subject excellence".

He excels in many other ways... but not in ways that see him collecting awards, but rather a constant barrage of phone calls home, and a continuous series of lines to write for a certain teacher.

What I really wanted him to see was that there were lots of other studentse around him, being credited for their efforts, and despite the fact that his was "music", instead of academics, it was equally important.

He is sort of brilliant-like anyways.... I only say that because I see what he is like on a regular mother-like existance.

Now if we can only get him to apply his brilliance towards other things... and we might get a graduate out of the deal.

When thinking of ...

My boy and an AWARD - it does not hit the synonymous chord.

When I am thinking of my boy and an AWARD from SCHOOL, now that is simply and wholly completely unlikely...

Apparently I am wrong.

We got an invitation in the mail a week or so ago... cause for error I assumed.... why would they invite parents to an award ceremony where there is no award .. almost like SHE by Sheree where there was the fashion show with no fashions.

That gets me to thinking... might my Mr. JimmyDean be getting an award for the most amount of lines written in the course of ONE year....? Might he get an award for the number of "best excuses ever" as to why Mr. JimmyDean has been late...? Might he get the award for best in underachievement ...? Most chocolate rice milk drank for the year.. ? what about the cookie award... most cookies eaten during class.....? what about the ONLY student to go through a school year that did not master the locker combination... and therefore has the cleanest locker in the school....?

I have my bets... but I will wait to see....

AND... in an effort to clarify why WE would get an invitation to an award event I called the school and asked if every parent got one... the secretary lady informed me that only students who got awards also got an invitation... now my curiosity is peaked!

My earlybird

So that boy of mine... as handsome as he is....

FINALLY scored.

SCORED in a way that she wishes her son to score.

He needed to be at his former school yesterday... which he thought was at 0800... OK.. when I dropped him off.. even the teacher wasn't at the school yet... (I'm not a stalker.. but the teacher has a very distinctive vehicle that he drives...).

After much waiting, and standing around he started to set up the music room... AND THEN...

the reporter showed up!

Yes, a reporter from the local paper came and interviewed him... BECAUSE he was the first person in the music room...

I AM SO SO SO SO not used to this with my firstborn.... even though he is the firstborn, he is always the last to arrive.

However... there is a FIRST for everything...

Now we will wait to find our JimmyDean in the newspaper...

enjoyenjoyenjoy!

In things uneventful:

(You see.. I didn't even rattle on about things that were as equally uneventful... because that is exactly the little life here on the crescent!)

Made some coffee... and I am not really sure if it has any taste, other than being dark brown. Is dark brown really a taste?

The boy yet again announced his 16 bit colour system. This was all brought on by the 100 different yellow samples that we brought home from the FOURTH Home Depot that we went to yesterday.

Yes... because we have nothing of absolute excitement in our lives... we managed to visit FOUR home depots... AND where we needed to buy the ONE item that made us venture onward... we ended up purchasing the item at the original home depot. Oh well... it was a nice day for a jeep ride... AND it made the neighbours down the street wonder if we were OK... since we were in the SAME vehicle together... at the same time. Sounds strange, because it is.

I bought the Mr. JimmyDean son a new XBox game... he barely removed himself from the den all weekend. Not to worry folks... his hair isn't long, and he still has showers, and his whole life isn't gaming.. because ya no... he still had his ipod on his lap, and a computer next to him.... My JimmyDean.... where will you go, and what will you do??

The girl was here there and everywhere... just as THAT girl is. She made you tube videos this weekend, went to a movie, had a sleepover, did some homework even... AND even momentarily cleaned her room, since she was still looking for her camera. THAT all stopped when she saw the camera drying out on the window sill.

OK, believe this people... the little camera went through the washing machine... (yes, heavy duty cycle, with the extra long spin....) AND CAME OUT ALIVE!

Well... minus one button that isn't working, and the flash has become tempermental ... and the viewing thing is a bit garbled... (very very very mildly!) ... and I am thinking with time, as it continues to dry... it might just fix itself. BUT the girl has announced very sternly to the laundry lady ... that the laundry lady must replace the camera. The laundry lady has other ideas... as the the laundry hamper had been filled by the camera owner, with the camera still in one's jacket... which was in the laundry hamper. AND the fact that the new camera owner has a perfectly good working PINK camera that also got fixed when the now current new camera was broken. SO... even though the new camera has a glitch or two.. the old camera with it's scratches is completely workable. So what should the laundry lady do ... to replace or not replace ....? ( I am thinking that I should send it back to the company and see if I can get the flash back up and working... !)

Other than enjoying a little dog all weekend... the homeland is all good.

There are small gains being made on the LITTLE bathroom.... like the 4 trips for 1 tap sort of deal. Luckily we have already picked out our light fixture... and for a couple that doesn't chat much to each other about things... we definitely agree on what we want when we see it... which makes that part of life very easy. There was a huge wall of fixtures ... and the two of us pointed at one... except we opted not to buy it... HA! (It wont be there when the time comes... and I can see this becoming another 4 trips for 1 item again... ).

The yard is poking along... I still have massive clean up "out there"... but that will have to wait for yet another day....

In the meantime I am cautiously doing laundry... and must create some dish to take with me for a "luncheon", PLUS... go ask businesses for gift cards and donations. That makes for a NERVE WRECKING day!

Now onto other things....

dog details of the day..

We have happily been dogsitters this weekend.

Little Miss TAZ has come for a visit. It's my SIL/BIL's dog.. and they were heading to the states for a Canadian holiday!

So we temporarily have a fifth TALKING member of the family this weekend...

Meanwhile .. in other events....

My PIPPY has been busily hunting for her camera that she got for christmas.... she just can't seem to locate it... she knew she had it somewhere .. but where... I did find it yesterday morning.... as I pulled it out of the washing machine.

It's currently in hiding....

Tuesday, May 18, 2010

Yes but....

I have things to do....!

The weatherish people have been predicting rain since last week... and today it is finally here.

AND.. I have a green waste container to fill. So I will wait.

Perhaps I will just stand and stare out the windows... like some sort of creeper person.... running from room to room in this grandious house of  mine.

SPEAKING of grandious events ....

In an effort to keep the lady of the household within pleasantville porportions... the husbandman has finally started with the destruction of the litte bathroom. The little bathroom is exactly that. A. LITTLE. BATHROOM.

....... with large like crawlspace/ attic endeavours.

I can see why the haulting in the LITTLE bathroom project.

MIND YOU...

There are alterior motives to the LITTLE project. He somehow has a larger project sitting in the wings.. which involves his time and our ALMOST space. SPACE that we currently do not own in livingspace, but rather garage space... and the REAL reason for the LITTLE bathroom project...

He doesn't wish to ruin the bathroom vanity that we had purchased a million months ago, & he has to clean out the parts and pieces to make us another familyroom.. good boy husbandman. WE are glad to keep you for another day!

So we are off and running..... in a good way...

Monday, May 17, 2010

More than yesterday....

I took these photos. The lovely big guy at the top is my moms dog. He's a golden retriever, except that he looks red. Who know who the guy with the ugly car is... just a parade junky I think... because that is where I spotted him. AND .. the big mix of sticks is an Eagles nest down at the dyke.

I am going to make my way down there later.. and see if I can't spot any excitement that is more than likely going on just above these great walls.

Miss PIP.

Missy Pip... the orphan girl... she loves this stage business... must go and find some community theatre for her to participate in.
Posted by Picasa

There was a...

scuffle and some noise that was coming from the front door.
.. it was JimmyDean himself, speaking wildly about something strange.
As you can see on his face.. he was seeing something coming...
it was most definitely something that had him all up in arms...

Finally... his little green men had come for him....

Posted by Picasa

A little dab will do you...

Or a bottle maybe two.
You think I am talking hockey...
Oh how wrong of you!

I am talking hair colour people, that's what I am talking...! And I need it quick!

So I had my hair cut, maybe two weeks ago.. butI didn't colour it right away... as I wished for it to get used to the new ends. Well... the ends are still not used to themselves, as the singingson referres to me now as "Einstein the mother". He is quite loving you see... because with this hair do.. I could have lead him along the path of frankenstein.

Hopefully all with change with the bottle of colour... it will weigh the hair down again.. or something like that.

~~~~
In other things that probably look nicer:
Will go and buy some little basket stuffers for my hanging baskets that do not exist yet. OH... and the upside down tomato thing is going to look cool.....!
~~~~

I have a bottle at the ready.... must go spread the goup to recoup my motherly crown.

nimbojim

It's a word I made up.

Perhaps it could be the place where we put the people in life, that make young inpressionable people's lives hell.

Maybe it could be shaped like a bucket, and have big echoing bucket sounds, and have transparent walls.

We should add a sound system, that only disperses information from the top, that way... when the evil doers (those that we might call.... educators!!!) are sitting in the nimbojim they can try and figure out what is echoing from above. Of course we will send pieces of information at varying speeds, and then we will react badly when the information is not processed correctly.

There should be the promise of leaving the nimbojim, but only if they interpret the information accordingly, and to our satisfaction.... of course our satisfaction is based on our level of subjective feelings at the moment.

While in the nimbojim there will be no room for filters on the walls. If looky loos wish to bang on them, they can. If people want to speak with the insider nimbojim people they may... but if the nimbojim people do not respond, they will be penalized. Because, that is the way it is in the nimbojim.

The nimbojim will also be a facility to exercise. The regulars (non-nimbojimers) will run around the outside of the facility, and because the nimbojimers are inside a round transparent facility, they will  run on the inside. The information, once again, will be dispersed from above, but due to the limited speaker system, and the level of noise from the outside participants, the nimbojimers will just have to figure it out on their own when to start running. OH... and because we want to give the nimbojimers the best experience possible, they will be expected to walk 10 miles prior to entering the facility. It doesn't matter that the nimbojim participants might be a little tired from their previous exercise, they are expected to participate, and follow directions as requested. Of course if they don't they will continue to run around the facility while the nimbojim leader will deliver a constant stream of words that will surely make change for the next days nimbojim exercise session.

Also, the nimbojim experience offers an educational component. First there is the wonderful opportunity of learning the nimbojim symbal system. It's quite fascinating really. Very pretty symbals that mark the pages in certain locations, and all you need to do is follow the instructions from above. It's very simple, and because the nimbojim comes equipped with the best of quality products provided for the best possible experience, it is essential that the nimbojim symbal system is completed with the 3 mm pencil, and rice paper. Of course the nimbojim symbal system must be completed with the fancy swirls and extra thick dark lines around the edges. There must be 100% accuracy at all times, otherwise the nimbojim system will not meet with approval. These will result in the nimbojim facilitators forced to make added announcements through the speaker system from above.

Also, the nimbojim facility offers the wonderful experience of looking back into history. Yes, history! AND because the nimbojim once again wishes for the greatest experience... the history date is decided WHILE you are in the nimbojim!!! AND... the nimbojimers are EXPECTED to know the date in which is randomly selected, and they are to write about the important events that happened on that day. Of course the 3 mm pencil and rice paper will be supplied.to transcribe their knowledge of the random date. NOW, because we wish for the best of the best... there will be no cheating with internet search engines, or history books, or how about even a library... because it really is just that easy to pick a random date in history and write about... right, after all ....you have entered the nimbojim!!! And, because we wish once again for the best experience possible... we will ask that this is all accomplished in under 30 minutes..... because.. that is the expectation .. in the nimbojim. If there is little compliance, and the required subject is not completed within the 30 minutes of allotted time, this will result in a lecture, from the loud speakers above, in an effort to keep the nimbojimer in line. I mean, it is only history...  and how hard is it to write about a randomly selected date in history... ?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
OK.. people .... I wish I could really write this letter to someone that would matter.. but I can't. So instead I have made up a facility... in which only SOME educators in this world should go... in an effort to understand what it might be like to have autism.
My hugely clever and wonderfully handsome nephew has autism... and while in the classroom, he is completely misunderstood, and quite often  penalized & punished due to behaviours that are directly related to his autism.There are teachers in his life that make his world a living hell, and as they do not get him, they punish him for being autistic. RATHER than taking the 24 seconds that it might take to understand why the child is exhibiting behaviours that are disruptive and and seemingly defiant, they immediately assume the negative, and punish the behaviour, instead of looking at the precipating factors. It is easier to REMOVE the so called problem, rather than looking at what caused the behaviour in the first place.
This blog was based on helping the "educators" in these childrens lives to understand what it is like to live with autism... (and for my nephew he claims it isn't that bad.).. if only people would just take the time to understand the world from his perspective... and to give him the graces that he might require, so he can interpret what the world is trying to say to him. His behaviour is only due to the frustration that he is feeling, and while he doesn't own a filter, it would be nice for the EDUCATED ADULTS that surround him to make judgements that are based on fact, rather than the behaviour that is exhibited due to lack of patience and understanding. It is a fact that kids with autism have low muscle tone, and get tired quicker than the regular kids that surround them. SO... even though they appear to be able to run along with the rest of the pack, they just can't. It's that simple, and yet so not believed. Creative thinking is "way too out there", and even though the regular folk do not have a problem with "being creative" ... it is almost impossible for autistic kids to "just be creative". ... hence the joke on requiring the guests to the nimbojim the impossible task of being required to give facts about history... because we all know random history related facts don't we??? It is also well known that their is a language processing delay... so ... when an answer is slow in coming... it is only due to the fact that there is all sorts of other sensors being targeted at that exact signal, and the intended signal takes an extened period of time to relate to. Also, due to the low muscle tone, writing is a chore, and a chore. Muscles and ligaments tire quicker, it is just that simple.
I haven't even touched on the anxiety that comes along with all of this... being autistic, and yet having the awareness that you stick out in the crowd, and yet... you don't want to stick out in the crowd.. you want to be the same as others, and yet you are not... simply because your genetic make up makes it invisible to others.. that you are incredibly and amazing different.... and yes... it is all anxiety provoking...
This blog is about trying to create an understanding... for those that are supposed to make a positive difference in children's lives, rather than making their lives hell... which on most days... it seems like it is.
I am not sure where I would get the strength from to re-enter a world on a daily basis that chooses to not understand me, and misinterpret my pleas for help that are exhibited through behaviours that I have no filter for.
I must be a very brave soul to entrust my well being to a bunch of nimbojimers.
Ja-no
something.....?
My little (OK... reality bites people... she is TALLER than me!)... but anyways... my LITTLE PIPENZA doll has done a beautiful job the past two nights in the play... I will charge up the camera batteries and get some GOR-GEE-OUS photos of her ... doing her thing.
What a beauty....
AND TO THINK... tomorrow... it's a BIG 13 that she turns....
BUT... she is still my LITTLE fusspot pipenza doll!
Beyond the world of the screen:
  • Have YET to see a spring bear!
  • The house that sat next to the red barn managed to get burned down (shocking!)
  • I did get my car vacuumed out finally.
  • I had a window of opp yesterday to cut the grass, but the husbandman stole the keys to the dollhouse shed.
  • Have listened to the boychilds song about 10 thousand times now. Still not sick of it. Still confused as to how he wrote the song, and was able to hear all of the other instrument sounds to create this piece of magic... because it really is.
  • I always thought he was an Elton John in the making. I really did.
  • Lady PIP-o-lot is doing another Annie performance tonight. I have to say, she did make for a beautiful orphan last night.... says the mother!
  • Glad that last week is over.
  • This one is prooving to be interesting.
  • I took the day off to see the parade on Saturday, now that my friends... is excitement!
  • Do you think that one can have too much flax in a diet. I do not.
  • I got my hair cut last week. So did Ms. Pip-o-lot. Probably not a good thing to do tandom haircuts... I was focused on the scissors that kept attacking the girls hair, and not mine. The girl scissoring up Ms. Pip-0-lots hair probably wished to attack me... can't have someone layering up a girls hair that can not manage it on her own... now the mother is responsible for "the look of the day", which has become way more challenging, now that there are layers FALLING out everywhere!
  • Learning curves can be a good thing... re: above!
  • I walked in circles around the track this morning. I listened to the boys song. I was worried that I hadn't walked long enough. 75 minutes later. AND... I had one of those lane chasers right next to me. HATING that. You are walking all on your lonesome, and then there they are.... you know the ones.. the ones that keep pace with you. I do not know where he finally ended up... there was a large group of people that all somehow converged around into the corner, and people were almost bumping!
  • Talked to the music teacher... she said the best thing that I never did for my boy was ground him. I thanked her...! She said that was the turning point in his musical self... she said it was from that moment that he came back a changed boy, with music in his heart. Mind you, that was a couple of years ago .... he got grounded... but he will be forever changed because of it. ( I took away all his gadgets, except for YOUTUBE, and that was where he started learning piano songs by the dozen!)
  • So, back to the haircut... it's a good haircut, but on the wrong person. How is that? A whole screaming whack of hair fell out of my head a number of months ago, and now it is growing back. Of course it isn't growing back with my original darkish colour, but I will give it credit for growing back Thanks!... in the meanwhile, the "hair-don't" is looking all wild like (shocking... when isn't it wild like, can't really tell)... so she cut some more off the front (as in bangs)... and NOW... all it does is lay WRONG. wrong, wrong wrong. Now I have a cotton ball on the front of my head. Seriously. It takes a lot of work to get this cotton ball to stop being a cotton ball... it's almost like chopping off a cute little rabbits tail!
  • It can not rain.. I must go cut the front lawn.
  • Have been enjoying watching the eagles "out there".. although some of the nests have gone astray, or fallen during the winter/spring storms. All the same, the familiar sounds of squealing chicks are taking up the audio on the computers each and every morning. Very delightful!
  • OK.. and the very fact that I am walking on a cloud with the boysons achievements, I have now had some feedback that this musical talents, are in fact talents....
  • OH... lucky me.. I am watching an eagle soaring at this exact moment.
  • Planted up the perrenials... they have liked the warm wet and then cold weather.. being all weed like and such! It has still been too cold to start the annuals... maybe another week or so...then I can colour up a STORM!
  • Day is slipping by... must go catch it!
A Thousand Miles
Verse 1:
When I,
   When I look into her eyes,
    I can see the starry skies,
   masking as an Angel in disguise.
When I,
    No longer see the rain,
    Feel no sorrow and no pain,
    I know that she's around again
Chorus:
I would,
    I would walk a thousand miles
Just for,
    Just for one little smile
I would,
    Just for one little smile.
Verse 2:
 When they,
     Ask me about my love,
     Well I say,
      That she's a cut above.
When the,
     Sun shines it shines for you,
     And when the world turns it turns for you
Chorus 2:
She's my,
     She's my light in the dark
      She's the,
      she's the shine and the spark,
      She holds,
      she holds the key to my heart.
ABSOLUTELY FREAKING FAT FRIDAYS INCREDIBLE I SAY FOLKS
Almost 12 hours ago...
I was milling about in the darkness... sitting with the laptop.
Now I am mingling in the daylight.... workin the PC.
See.. satisfied with the mundane... day or night.
what would i like??
i think i would like some almond milk... oh yes i would.
The rain is drizzling, the house is all quiet, with the exception of someone doing some loud sleeping, and me doing doing some clicking. I can hear the trains motoring thru the night, and a diesal truck finding it's way to somewhere....
My next location will be the den... where the television of excitement is... that will for sure lull me into some sort of comatose state. I wish hockey was on right now... that would surely have me drifting off nicely.
Have just been to facebook world... and holy creepers most everybody is quite excited. Well... with one exception.... moi! Clearly I have a sickness about hockey... a certain dislike attitude, a rather strong aversion, almost similar to the skunk like smell that lingered about last evening. My favourite part of the game is the last three seconds!
In things that are almost happening:
The boy is almost willing to go on camera for me to record him playing the piano. DONT mistake this as a shy guy that doesn't wish to play in front of the masses, or doesn't like the all eyesbulbs on him.... quite the opposite... so I am getting closer in my attempts... now I just need to find the little digital!
The Pippy makes a good orphan! I saw her in her costume yesterday.... with her hair all a flub, and badly matched clothing... she looked good. One thing... how do we do orhpan make up...? Will have to ask that of somebody... now sure who.
Alright moving onto the television now!
good evening fellow readers
It's good to be here tonight!
Although it's a bit late.. the PIP and I are watching SUPERSWARM. Very cool I say !
There is an actual thing called 'bug burgers'... for real... but count me out.... they are not for me, even though they have seven times the amount of protein than in a regular beef burger. Still can't sell me!
Best stop here.... don't like typing on the laptop... I am notorious for writing, and then somehow hilighting and then deleting all in one millisecond...
right PIP... right.... PIP... where did you go... did I just erase you now too???
the Inn at Lake Devine
Finally! What a lovely and predictable book. I liked the characters, I liked the story, it didn't go on tooooo long, it was a pleasant read.. all 272 pages! AND even better.. it's for the book club.. which isn't until next week.. so I am free to start a new quest! From the stack ten million miles high! (In the meantime... I might need to take notes... I will absolutely forget who was who in the zoo by next week!).
So... here's the thing...
I stole something... again!
A BC BLOGGER button... just because...
But then I decided to delete other things.... and now I wish to add some other junk.
Not sure what yet.
I would like to see my years gone into one little section, and can't seem to manage to do that.
So, in an effort to change things up a bit.. I stole a button, yes, that is what I did.
Tuesday, April 20, 2010
the girl whispered to the boy....
Be very careful JimmyDean, Momda might have just gone a little over that big deep edge.
JimmyDean crept around the corner, and with his long legged ways tip toed into the den... where I was sitting eyeing him suspiciously and of course watching the last moments of Chris Carter, yet another Global TV guy that I love... sorry Mark... love you too, but I must spread my loving worshipness around...
JimmyDean tells me that he should be very careful, he thought maybe I would start telling him weird stories and calling out random orders of business. When I did just that, he breathed a sigh of relief... I was still in fact me, and clearly not on "that" edge that the sister claimed I was on.
In other things humorous:
I haven't been paid since January for my community work. How strange. There seems to be a bit of silent uprising because of this... and yet nobody has come to me yet with either a cheque or an explanation.
JimmyDean desperately needs to learn some piano music... in his pleading tones, and dramatic ways he comes to me yesterday evening and begs..."can't you just get me another lesson.. just one more lesson... I NEED ANOTHER LESSON.... YOU know how much I can learn in JUST ONE LESSON!!!"  His eyes were all crazed and he was fidgetylike... I think he is suffereing from a case of "piano-crack". Poor JimmyDean.
Fussilina reminded me yesterday that today would be two months since "Till" departed our homestead... "oh".. says me... I am liking our new "till"... she sports around the house wearing two jingles, leaves little hair, and we don't need to worry about getting her outside, AND, we don't need to worry about feeding her... AND, if we forget about her for a day... she doesn't seem to mind either. The old "Till" and the new "Till" are very much the same in that they are very silent... except when moving around the home, and that is when the jingling can be heard. The added bonus is the fact that we can now THROW this Till around... the other Till we couldn't pick up... if we did, she would apply magnets to her feet and make it impossible to pick her up... not even sure why averagelyjoesane-ish people wish to pick up their german shepherd dogs... but sometimes it must be done...
I went out and moved some plants around in the front yard yesterday... I am feeling the need to purchase some more magic...I need them to be perrenials, and preferrably ones that do not look like dandelions!
In dramatic issues:
My Tim Hortons isn't tasting so TimHortonish.
JimmyDean wishes to go see the play at his highschool (the wedding singer). JimmyDean is his own schoolplay.
Fusslinas play (annie) will be acted out this month... clearly our 25 dollars worth of ugly purchases of clothing and boots were not ugly enough, and she must purchase more ugliness for the play. I am thinking not... maybe I will take a match and burn the semi-ugly sweater and lessly ugly blouse into a firey mess... that will clearly make them much uglier, and of far better performance value.
In issues that are confusing to me, and which I NEED SOME ADVICE!
Should I wash my car, or not....?
Almost everyday I make my way down to the bear location... I am on the MAD hunt for some spring photos of my black beauties... and yet I must drive down a dusty and mucky road for a short distance to see them... so what is the point... I wish it to be indigo blue and lovely and shiney... but my love for the perfect photo is really high upon the wishing list... what to do what to do....?
As always... clearly, deeply, semi-crazy!
Gonzo!
Report just in... things that are gone:
  • The RED barn pictured below!
  • Laundry off the laundry room floor!
  • The SEWING MACHINE clutter off the kitchen counter!
  • The family has left for the day!
  • My green waste container... (which I am looking forward to filling again!)
  • The black blobs down in the fields.... (haven't even seen a spring one yet!)
  • One of my favourite blogs....!
Better stop there... the list could be endLIST! HA!
So yes... about that red barn.... so strange. I LOVED that barn... I really did. It was just so perfect sitting in the back of the field... doing nothing but aging beautifully.. and now there isn't a remnent left of a red barn. (I STOLE the milk can in the KNICK of time... because last week it was all boarded up... so I am thankful that I took pictures before that disaster happened, and now this week... that the RED BARN is no more!)
This week in excitement involves the fact that THEY have made new episodes of "say yes to the dress". YOU have to love that!
AND AND AND... I did take a vacation day to go to a seminar on Saturday.. so smilingly will not be working both days this weekend.. but will still be in the same location anyways.. going to a seminar!
I must start planning out the flower situation for the yard... on top of cleaning up the yard, on top of trimming the yard, on top of removing the evil "not morning glory but behaves like morning glory" plant life that is growing all around the perimeter of my yard.... this work MUST be done between rain storms... which are kind of arriving this week... so says my favourite mark madryga.
AND AND AND AND... must check on the eaglets situation that is happening all around me,... including on this computer screen, and down on the dyke. it makes for a busy one!
OK... over and out.
Nothing says spring like:
  • the sound of a pressure washer going for hours and hours!
  • sheets hanging on the clothesline
  • weed preparations making their presence
  • finding my hummingbird juice!
  • the dandelion picker is in constant use
In other things even more spring like & very exciting:
  • I spied on three eagles nests yesterday
  • there is a presence of large black bloblike objects moving about
  • the crow family is not using our tree for a nest
  • there are bigger and better runner sales!
  • the sun was hugely warm yesterday, and will be increasing in strength today!
Today in history:
Which didn't make it in some of the ON-LINE historythingys....
Terry Fox started his cross Canada run on April 12 in St. John's Newfoundland (from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific Coast) for Cancer research, which was called "Marathon of Hope", (at the time he had hoped to raise one dollar for each of the 24 million Canadians).
To date there has been just about 500 millions dollars raised.
I guess this information didn't make it into ON-LINE history... I should have googled "Canada's HEROES" instead.
Sporting this:
An unfinished dress... (just simply can't be bothered!)
A new OLD milkcan, freshly TAKEN from a red barn.
No cell phone, gave it to the boy, where the boy left it at the GF's house.
That's a problem.
Bad hair!
Which is always the case, and generally a problem.
Two children with colds, the eldest went to the school.
The youngest didn't.
She might... as she has pizza fixings to prepare with her partner.
A great read that needs to be accomplished.
An almost an anniversary to celebrate... OK, maybe not... how about recognize.
THANKFUL there isn't freaking HOCKEY.
Found some summer runners I wish to buy, mind you .. they wont be $20.00 cheaper this week, so maybe I won't buy them.
Straighter glasses. Had those lenscrafters people turn their back on me, and straighten them yet again... I am just not certain what exactly they do when they straighten them... but they are always straighter when they are put back on my face. Hmmmm.
That is all.
8 degrees
That is what the temperature outside that the car keeps telling me what it is...
It has to be, cause the car says so.
I just can't figure out HOW I WAS ABLE to go walking in a thin yoga jacket and pants when it was:
2 degrees.
It had to be, cause the car told me so.
And from what I know... my little Indigo Blue Mazda5 doesn't lie!
I might... but the car doesn't.
BUT I am not lying when I say that I walked in 2 degree weather.
ALTHOUGH I will claim that I was senseless and more than likely almost frozen...
BECAUSE I am frozen now, in 6 more degrees of warmth.
How can that be people... HOW?
In other things:
The boy had to get himself up and organized for school this am, minus and ADULT to tell him to wake up, get ready, and go to school.... and that to me is a larger question at the moment...
How can THAT be people... HOW????
Will find out later if he was successful... because the automated tattling system will call me... that's how!
TODAY is the day
  1. That I finish the "lilypad dress"
  2. Colour this "do" of mine!
  3. Take some photos.
  4. Do the laundry... hey what gives... that ALWAYS makes it on this list!
  5. Find some cream for my coffee.
  6. Might even buy some groceries!
  7. DIG some books out of Miss Pippy's room for "my friend Kim"
  8. Colour my hair
  9. Colour my hair
  10. AND... last but not LEAST... colour the hair.
In other adventures:
I almost finished the dress yesterday... but decided to "take off" and flit around the streets of PoCo, listening to my ipod... so if YOU spotted someone pludging about at the speed of turtle... it was all me people!
We trundled over to my fab-tab-ulous mothers house for a turkey dinner. She was fit to be certain that she wished to make a turkey dinner... I will ask her today whether that will be her choice again to undertake such endeavours again... OH.. and then her tap broke, and Mr Silent fixitman was sitting at home watching his hockey game... so he couldn't even help out.
Feels strange to be home here.. on a Monday...so that is the reason my hair looks so crazy... no wait.... that is not the reason, my hair is crazy on any given day.
Must get cracking as my oumph is lacking!
Sunday, April 04, 2010
Flying times..
I miss arriving here daily... where I have been.. but NOWHERE...  so I am not certain why I haven't made time for my daily chats... because YOU PEOPLE that know me... KNOW that I am in constant communicado with myself ... enough so that I look like a crazy person that is always talking to themselves.
I have a large solution for that.... I think I am going to wear not ONE but TWO bluetoothes! That way I can continuously have my stream of consciousness out there for the world to hear... and yet still look like I have some semblance of order settled in my life.
That might just work.
I can't believe my lack of wordiness that has evolved. Perhaps I am just involved, which has left with me disolved for wordy narration!
So:
Spring has sprung, and so has springbreak!
We went to Alice in Wonderland last Thursday... with Johnny Depp in 3D. Very cool. I don't see many movies on the bigscreen... and this was a must see! Perhaps it was the 3D that caught my eye! HA!
My 12-15 people grew to 23 last Monday. Clearly I need some help in my ability to count heads!
Also... the Rainbow Butterfly restaurant was cool... went there for DimSum... that was an experience.... I went there with my former walking buddies! The Pippy and I ended up doing errand shopping ... which was all good... especially when errand shopping can be done so close to home...! BUT THEN... the sister called me later and wished for me to yet again join her in her most favourite of locations to visit: Walmart! (ick ick double ick!). BUT THIS TIME: we were tricked. There wasn't bedlam and chaos and constant overhead pages, and bad music and screaming children, and badly stocked shelves... and to end a successful of all successful Walmart shopping trips... there were not line ups ten miles deep... but rather... an open and empty line up. Stunned, shocked, amazed and silenced... can there really be a next time???
I FINALLY got the nice rims put back on the Mazda5.... it just isn't my little Mazda5 without the pretty rims... with those silly BLACK rimmed snow tire thingys!
We went off to the Aquarium on Wednesday. That was pretty fun... JimmyDean and his Lady Miss ScrumptiousTea, and the Pippydoll and myself. On the way home we stopped off, and toured the downtown eastside... we had to take a double tour, just to find a home to a bunch of coats that came from my closet. Myself and JimmyDean walked up to a bunch of people standing on the street and asked if they needed them... everything was whooshed out of our hands, and more importantly a brand NEW backpack was ripped from Mr. JimmyDeans piano hands like NO tomorrow. Glad to know that we made someones day. OH.. prior to that we visited a restaraunt.... where I went to go wash my hands, and put my really in need of hair colouring bad do back in order... which is where I see a youngish lady fixing her hair. Me, being not the silent type at times told her that her hair looked great.. and how about trading! She then says to me that she is depressed, has had a bad day, doesn't feel that she looks good, and makes $35,000.00 dollars a year, the least in her office. Hmmm... well...I being Deanna offered her up some instant advice.... so , once you are done in the restaraunt, know that you look good (to a complete stranger), go enjoy the beautiful afternoon spring air, and take a brisk walk, breathe deeply, and blow away your troubled thoughts... and once you have done that maybe you will have to start thinking about a way to make more money within your office, or find a new job... good luck to you..... I said to the dark haired woman as I left the bathroom. OK.. lesson number 4756 "do not talk to strangers".
Thursday I attended my NEW stroke group. I like the way I WRITE that I attended it... that is how I feel at the moment... like I have no qualifying statement that I belong... BUT... I was given the keys to the church to open the doors. OK.. how funny is that... Deanna running a program from the basement of a church.... ?? I wonder if it is OK to scream HOLY flying fruitbats in my head...?
Friday was d-day... "d-day I started d-dressssss". Miss Pippydolls Royal Party MayDay dress... and MAYDAY is what I should have started shrieking from the start. I ironed and ironed and ironed it.. and it is still wrinkled... AND... I am not even sure if I have made the dress with the right sides of the wrong sides together... there has been a lot of thought put into that one...AND that my friends is the problem.. I have put a lot of thought into this dress... and it is not turning out to my satisfaction.... I am just not happy with it.. of course I am also worry that it isn't going to fit... wherein "that will be a a problem"... Saturday also took up a great part of dress making.... all because I wished to line the dress... which changes things altogether... so here I am .. Sunday morning, with a dress half done... which MUST BE FINISHED TODAY.
Miss Pippy stayed at my moms last night.. which destroyed her chances at diving into chocolate trails this morning... being that she is almost 13 (aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!), and yet still very much in tune with the "great things in life"... I assured her that the Easter Bunny had still left her a little something, and that her friend Harold the Monkey was holding on tight to it....
JimmyDean doesn't exactly care about trails of chocolate, but wished to just have something of goodness handed to him... which is what he will get. He will like that I am sure.... I am such a good Easter Bunny!
Alright.... it's a good feeling to have finished the book... (which everyone must read!), and now it's time for the dress!
A BOOK!
Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons by Norna Landvik.
So guess what! I finally was able to read a book! That sounds like such a feat.. and I guess it is one... but to finish a book, and enjoy it, well that is a feat and a half!
This is exactly as the book depicts by the title, and the picture. This is pure fiction in it's finest! This book SUCKS you in on the first page... so that you are stuck reading it till the end. FOR ONCE, that didn't bother me!
Mind you... it has taken me weeks upon weeks to finish.
(OH... and I attended last months book club, while NOT reading the book!... AND by the sounds of things it probably wasn't a bad one to miss...
while I appreciate a classic, I believe in telling stories by way of movieland... which is what I will stick to: we read Emma by Jane Austin)
